About Me

I was born and brought up in Srinagar. I did a part of my schooling at the Burn Hall School in Kashmir and a part of it at the Bishop Cotton School in Shimla. I went to the Michigan State University, USA for my degree in Finance. I gave up my US Permanent Residence and job as a Financial Analyst in 2009 and returned to a resurgent Kashmir to be a part of change and empowerment.

My learning curve in politics is both steep and abrupt but for what I have learnt and how I have evolved, it has all been worth the hurdles. I am a part of the Jammu & Kashmir National Conference under the inspiring leadership of Omar Abdullah, the present Chief Minister of Jammu & Kashmir.

I write a weekly column, 'HOPE' in Greater Kashmir and write guest columns for publications in India and abroad.
